2023 Ohio Attorney CLE Requirements

As the first quarter of 2023 comes to an end, it is time to start thinking about Ohio Attorney Continuing Legal Education Requirements (CLEs). Every biennium, Ohio active attorneys and those registered for corporate status are required to complete 24 hours of approved CLE activities. Judges and Magistrates must complete 40 hours of approved CLEs. You can check your CLE Transcript here.

As of January 1, 2023 – the self-study cap has been permanently removed, meaning all CLEs can be obtained through online CLEs (on demand, webinar, etc).

Of the required 24 hours of Ohio CLEs for lawyers, 2.5 must be related to professional conduct. Koblentz, Penvose & Froning, LLC provides the full 2.5 hours via a free CLE in November/December, date to be determined.

The time is now to find CLEs that are interesting to you, or applicable to your practice areas. We provide a resource of every FREE CLE that we can find. That information can be found on our website www.Koblentzlaw.com.
